Celebrating 50 Years of the Fuso Canter

The Fuso Canter has been been available in the Australian Transport Market for more than 40 years. It first cemented its place as an industry icon in 1978 when Fuso was the first Japanese truck company to introduce a wide cab over truck. Today Fuso remains a popular choice with light-duty truck operators .

The first generation of Canters came onto the market in Japan in 1963. 50 years, eight generations and 3,700,000 units later the Fuso Canter is a household name across Australia and has proven itself as a very reliable and capable light-duty truck, not just in its home country of Japan, but around the globe. In many countries, it is the Canter that customers know Fuso by.

Canter has proven itself over the last 50 years to be a very reliable and capable light-duty truck, not just in its home country of Japan, but around the globe. The Canter has played and continues to play a critical role in ongoing success of MFTBC as a company.
