October 2017 marks a quarter of a century since construction giant Volvo CE partnered with Australian company CJD Equipment. CJD has been supporting the construction and transport industries of Australia since 1974 and are considered to be one of Australia’s largest privately owned equipment and trucking distributors. Over the last 25 years, this successful partnership has supplied the construction and earthmoving industries of Australia with Volvo’s world-class products, along with after-market service and support right across the country.
“Our focus since day one has always been long term and we are extremely proud of the relationship we have developed with Volvo CE over the last 25 years” says Alan Barnett, Managing Director of CJD Equipment. “The sales volumes and market share we have gained with the Volvo product has been due to the great people we have around Australia; they truly believe in the products they’re representing and consistently place customer satisfaction as an utmost priority”.
Alan Barnett sees the relationship between Volvo and CJD as the most important aspect of the business with both companies understanding the others specific requirements for a continued growth pattern. CJD’s commitment to Volvo CE customers has been paramount in the continued success of this relationship and has been the driving force behind Volvo’s continued growth in the Australian market over the years.
“Sales of new machines have grown steadily over the years, building strong brand recognition and acceptance throughout Australia. Coupled with new product introductions from Volvo along the way, and many great CJD employees, we have built a robust business which supports our customers through all aspects of their business cycle” says Barnett. “Generally speaking I am extremely optimistic. There are plenty of challenges ahead of us, as is the same for any business operation, but if we continue to develop good, strong relationships and focus on continued profitable growth – the business can continue indefinitely.”
