CJD Equipment Branch Acquisition – Burnie, Tasmania
CJD Equipment are excited to announce the acquisition of North West Truck Centre in Burnie, Tasmania. Commencing operations on Thursday the 2nd January 2020, the new facility will operate out of the previous North West Truck Centre branch, located at 44 Main Rd, Wivenhoe, Tasmania.
Founded in 1974, CJD Equipment is a privately-owned Australian company and is the Australian distributor for Volvo and SDLG Construction Equipment as well as the dealer for Kenworth, DAF and Fuso trucks in Tasmania. CJD has operated in Tasmania for over 20 years, with the first state of the art facility opening its doors in Launceston in 1999 providing the region with sales, parts and service to support our range of world-class products. A second parts and service facility opened in Hobart in 2008, extending our coverage to better support customers.
More broadly, CJD has 20 branches across Australia and employs over 500 people.
Alan Barnett, CJD Equipment Managing Director commented on the new business, stating “The new CJD Burnie location was the missing piece in our support network within Tasmania and represents an opportunity for CJD to further expand our footprint, to enable us to provide an ever-increasing level of service to our customers.”
The new CJD facility in Burnie will be fully equipped with the latest tools and equipment and operated by staff with many years of experience, specialised training and product knowledge. Existing staff of North West Truck Centre will join the CJD team, ensuring continued levels of quality service.
NWTC have been supplying parts and service to the North West of Tasmania for many years and have an excellent reputation in the marketplace. The owners of NWTC, Stuart and Kathryn Weller, have built a strong reputation for providing outstanding customer service and through their hard work and commitment built an extremely successful business. This made the NWTC an ideal fit to become part of the CJD network in Tasmania.
