Accounts Officer
CJD Equipment has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Officer to join our Brisbane Team, located at our Acacia Ridge Branch.
Backed by your experience in a similar role, and under direction from the State Finance & Administration Manager, this role will require you to carry out efficient and effective administrative, clerical and accounting-related functions whilst promoting positive staff morale and a safe work environment.
A day on the job will see you:
- Complete timely and accurate collection of debts with an aim of reducing average days aging.
- Prompt attention to default client accounts.
- Contact with clients, CJD state departments and other CJD businesses to ensure the achievement of debt collection objectives.
- Reconciliation of cash sale account on a weekly basis.
- Processing weekly employee expense claims, assisting with collation of timesheets for payroll, and other administrative duties as required.
- Collection of trade references for opening of new customer accounts in consultation with Head Office.
What you need to get the job done:
- Commitment to the safety of yourself and your work mates.
- Two years’ experience in a similar role or environment.
- Great communication skills, both internal to the business and with customers.
- Computer literate with good skills in Microsoft Office software.
- Current motor vehicle licence and own transport (limited public transport options available).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test.
- Australian working rights.
