Field Service Technician – MACKAY REGION
Are you a Heavy Diesel Mechanic seeking a full-time, permanent position in Mackay, offering job security, autonomy, and attractive company benefits?
In this key role, reporting directly to our State Service Manager in Brisbane, you’ll bring your advanced diagnostic skills and technical expertise to the table. As a Field Service Technician, you’ll spend your days traveling to customer sites and workshops, working on VOLVO Construction Equipment. This role is essential to CJD, as you’ll be the face of the company in the Mackay region.
What you’ll be kept busy with:
- Booking work, dealing directly with our customers and performing the required servicing and repairs on equipment in Mackay and the surrounding region
- Troubleshooting electronic, engine, hydraulic, and transmission systems
- Performing quality workmanship with a ‘done right the first-time’ approach
- Liaising with our Product Specialist to assist when you need that extra support with an issue
- Prioritising safety and ensuring compliance at all times
What you need to get the job done:
- A proactive attitude toward safety – we want you to get home in one piece
- Relevant trade qualification (Volvo Construction Equipment experience highly regarded)
- Experience and knowledge with computer-based service diagnostic programs and parts catalogs
- A positive attitude and good communication skills
- Current driver’s licence because you will be provided a decked-out CJD Service vehicle, along with mobile and laptop
- Able to travel as you will be required to visit sites and this may lead to an overnight stay (on occasions)
