Field Service Technician
CJD Equipment has an exciting opportunity for an experienced mechanic to fill the role of Field Service Technician, servicing the Dandenong area.
You will work on the internationally known and respected Volvo and SDLG equipment; diagnosing, servicing and repairing of machines to ensure customer expectations are met.
Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, this role provides the successful applicant the opportunity to build and develop their skills with continuous OEM training, whilst being supported by the branch.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Field servicing and repairs
- Carrying out diagnosis and troubleshooting of mechanical failures
- Writing reports and maintaining records whilst out on the field
- Following warranty procedures and reporting requirements
- Commitment to abide by all company and client HSE policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Trade qualified Technician – Heavy vehicle/diesel or similar
- Knowledge of field service operation in the construction equipment & earthmoving industries preferred (but not essential)
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Experience using computer-based service diagnostic programs and parts catalogues
- An ability to work alone or as part of a team
- A high level of planning, time management and self-motivation
- A good level of understanding of Microsoft programs and general computer skills
- Must be available after hours and some weekends (when and if required – penalty rates appy)
- HV Truck and forklift licence preferred (or ability to obtain)
