National Parts Controller – Guildford WA

CJD are currently seeking a Parts Controller to join their National Customer Support team.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated to achieve results and have a good understanding of the operations of a Parts department. Your basic skills will include parts interpreting using a computer-based parts catalogues and experience with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook.
You will be working from the National Office located in South Guildford within a team environment. This wide-ranging role involves providing vital support to our national branch and dealer network and your duties will include ordering stock from overseas, inventory control, liaising with our overseas suppliers and assisting with CJD’s branches.
Main duties include:
- Controlling parts inventory and stock distribution to achieve optimum inventory levels
- Parts ordering using company dealer management system and Suppliers online ordering portals
- Expediting parts backorders to minimise delivery lead times
- Liaising with local and overseas suppliers on all parts related matters
- Answering parts related enquiries from nationwide branches and dealer
Mechanical background / understanding would be highly regarded. Other personal attributes required to successfully fill this role are;
- Relevant experience working within an Automotive Spare Parts department
- Computer literate, utilising electronic parts catalogues
- A high level of self-motivation, time management and communication skills
- A secondary school or college completion certificate
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Analytical and methodical with a high attention to detail
- Computer literate with the ability to learn and use dealer management system and supplier portals
