Service Advisor
CJD Trucks are seeking energetic Service Advisors (we’re growing the team – 2 new positions) to join our service team. If you’re a wiz at organizing, scheduling and communication and you have a passion for Heavy Vehicle Trucks, this role is made for you!
Excellent opportunity for someone considering a move away from the ‘tools’, into a less physical role, OR someone who has experience working within the automotive industry in an administrative / parts role / TA.
Your day will be spent attending to customer calls regarding service bookings and scheduling the bookings to align with manpower and the workshop. You will also be responsible for the administration of invoices, receipting service work to the appropriate job, all in a timely manner. It’s a busy role and you will need excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities include:
- Processing of workshop labour / costs into system
- Coordinate customer bookings and processing service invoices
- Maintenance contracts and daily work
- Provide clear communication to the Service Manager and supervisor
- Assist with the managing and ordering of parts for service jobs
- Ensure all documents and records are completed and processed in a timely manner
- Adherence to all HSE procedures
- Ability to work overtime, including occasional Saturday mornings
Qualifications, Qualities and Experience:
- Previous experience as a service advisor within the automotive industry or within an automotive service team
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Computer literate with intermediate skills in Microsoft Office
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage several tasks at one time
- Ability to work well in a team and busy environment
- A current driver’s licence
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance
