Here at CJD Trucks, we supply the world-famous Kenworth and DAF range of trucks throughout Western Australia, and we are looking for an exceptional person to join the team and kick-start their career as our next trainee Salesperson!

CJD Trucks WA is part of CJD Equipment PTY LTD which has been successfully operating for over 50 years throughout Australia providing services in HV Trucks and Construction Equipment. We sell and support well-known brands, we are globally recognised as a leading supplier of working-class solutions while assisting our customers in the transition to net-zero emission in a reasonable and sustainable way, but enough about us.

We’re looking for a motivated and ambitious individual with a strong passion for sales and a drive to succeed. You should be a natural communicator, confident in building relationships with customers and able to articulate product specifications effectively. A proactive attitude and resilience in the face of challenges are essential, as you will be working towards targets and goals. Just some of the things you will learn, experience and fine-tune whilst growing your professional career in Sales.

• Working as part of a team, you will gain knowledge and hands-on experience assisting our experienced Regional Sales Managers in quoting, our products, cold calling, closing deals, and deliveries of trucks (end-to-end Sales).
• Leaning to inspect Trucks before delivery, ensuring the vehicle conforms to the customer build, making sure all the paperwork is completed, and CJD’s Truck presentation standards remain above average.
• You’ll gain the art of Product Advertising, learning how to complete detailed sales descriptions, photography & marketing of Trucks (new and used) using social media, printed media and commercial.
• You will grow a passion for our Truck brands and products as you continue to provide outstanding services and information to fleet and retail customers.
• Knowledge of departmental support, such as Warehousing, stock control, Parts – yep what makes our trucks the best, Services – we not only sell them we service them and of course the administration side to selling.
• Learn to prepare and process paperwork, documentation and reports to ensure you can capture your success in Sales – from beginning to end.

All of this whilst you’re being paid. Plus, training, development, and support, by our professional teams. We will grow you to become our next exceptional Sales Consultant, selling our famous brands like KENWORTH and DAF!

• A commitment to all areas of safety, ensuring a safe environment for yourself and workmates
• A mathematical mindset – you will need to be good with figures
• Previous experience and/or an understanding in a customer-focused, face-to-face sales environment
• Mechanically minded or have a passion for TRUCKS
• Be a confident communicator, know when to talk and when to listen
• Be ENTHUSIASTIC, professional, results-driven, and have a can-do attitude
• Comfortable meeting new people – understand that at CJD customers are our priority
• Ability to show initiative and think outside the circle
• Hold a current driver’s licence – you will be required to travel and visit customers.
