We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced mechanic to fill the role of Field Service Technician, servicing the Dandenong area.
You will work on the internationally known and respected Volvo Equipment; diagnosing, servicing and repairing of machines to ensure customer expectations are met.
Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, this role provides the successful applicant the opportunity to build and develop their skills with continuous OEM training, whilst being supported by the branch.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Constructions equipment technical knowledge, with the ability to carry out on site servicing and repairs in the field.

Carrying out diagnosis and troubleshooting procedures relating to mechanical failures in a professional and timely manner

HV Truck and forklift licence (or ability to obtain)

Ability to work alone or as a team when required

Writing reports and maintaining records whilst out on the field

Ensure all communications with customers are conducted in a manner reflecting respect and honesty

Following warranty procedures and reporting requirements at all times, that failed parts are labelled correctly and that warranty reports are satisfactorily completed and submitted

Availability after hours and some weekends (when and if required - penalty rates will apply)

Well organised and self motivated

Commitment to abide by all company and client HSE policies and procedures
Requirements:

Trade qualified Technician - Heavy vehicle/diesel or similar

Exceptional customer service skills
-
Experience using computer-based service diagnostic programs and parts catalogues

A good level of understanding of Microsoft programs and general computer skills
-
HV Truck and forklift licence preferred (or ability to obtain)
