Resident Field Service Technician - Sunshine Coast / Wide Bay region

CJD Equipment is looking for an experienced Resident Field Service Technician to join our growing team!

Reporting to the State Service Manager, this is a dynamic, customer-facing role where you’ll build strong relationships, manage your own workflow, and deliver high-quality service across the Sunshine Coast / Wide Bay region—with full support from our Brisbane branch.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose, service, and repair construction and earthmoving equipment on-site and in the workshop

• Manage job bookings, communicate directly with customers, and deliver outstanding service

• Build and maintain a loyal regional customer base

• Work independently while staying connected to a supportive team

What You’ll Bring

• Relevant Heavy Mobile Equipment trade qualification (essential)

• Proven field service experience in construction or earthmoving equipment

• Strong diagnostic, technical, and communication skills

• A customer-first mindset and professional approach

• Experience with service diagnostics software and parts catalogues

• Ability to work autonomously with strong time management skills

• Flexibility to travel and stay overnight as required

Desirable:

• LR or MR Licence (or above)

• Air Conditioning Handling Licence

• Volvo Construction Equipment experience
