CJD Equipment - Hobart are looking for a highly skilled and experienced heavy vehicle Service Supervisor for our busy Hobart workshop.
Reporting to the State Service Manager, you will help manage our productive workshop and provide leadership to service administration staff and technicians. With the support of the Branch Manager and Leading Hands, you will oversee the day-to-day planning of service jobs, warranty and work in progress, while communicating effectively with our loyal customers.
Every day is different, we run a busy workshop, and you’ll need to have the energy to keep the team moving forward in a positive direction and focused by ensuring work is carried out right the first time, and most of all have a great attitude and passion towards your role.
Your main duties include -

Allocation and monitoring of workshop jobs

Control of workshop activity ensuring efficiency and labour time goals are met

Ensure a safe workplace, tasks are done safely, and PPE is worn

Ensure all work is carried out within manufacturer's guidelines

Maintenance of Work in Progress ensuring all jobs are completed and invoiced promptly

Provide excellent customer service, making sure customers are kept up to date with ongoing work
To be successful in this role you will have -

Experience and qualified in heavy-duty mechanics

Excellent time management skills with a keen attention to detail

Good understanding of a retail workshop environment

Willingness to learn and work with a great team

A good level of computer literacy

High level communication skills
