The new aerodynamic T420 with its set-back front axle for maximum manoeuvrability is productive and comfortable. While the new T420SAR with its classic Kenworth styling has a set-forward front axle for optimal weight distribution in a variety of heavy-duty applications.

The new generation T420 and T420SAR are designed for use in rigid, single and multi-trailer configurations with a choice of day and sleeper cab options. Their short bumper-to-back-of-cab lengths and low tare weight enable larger payloads across a wide range of applications, including vocational, intrastate and interstate distribution, and tipper and dog.

The T420 and T420SAR feature an all-new powertrain that teams the Euro 6 PACCAR MX-13 engine with a PACCAR PX-12 or PX-18 automated transmission—a pairing that combines reliable, consistent power delivery with smoother, more intuitive shifting to maximise driveability and fuel efficiency.
Driver-focused luxury
The view from driver’s seat is more impressive than ever. The cab now features a 15-inch high-definition digital instrument panel, new 8-inch audio visual navigation unit with smartphone integration, and wireless phone charging. The new Smart Wheel enables fingertip control of a wider range of functions and settings, and climate control dials are now more easily accessed.
