FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIANS – Volvo & SDLG
Calling all Field Service Technicians / Mechanics looking for a stable role with a globally known company that provides the opportunity to work with world-class products such as VOLVO Construction Equipment & SDLG equipment.
Due to growth across our business, we are seeking experienced Techs/Mechanics to join our friendly CJD Newcastle Branch. CJD’s Mechanics are the backbone of our service department, providing advanced diagnostic and technical support to our customers to ensure mechanical services are provided in a timely manner.

Other role requirements:
- Carry out diagnosis and troubleshooting procedures relating to mechanical failures
- Daily reporting and communication of work conducted
- Following warranty procedures
- Providing excellent customer service to our valued clients
To succeed in the role, you will need:
- Commitment to safety in the workplace for yourself and workmates
- Heavy Duty plant (or similar) trade qualification
- Construction equipment technical knowledge, with the ability to carry out servicing and repairs in the field
- MR or HV truck and forklift licence (or ability to obtain)
- Team player with the ability to work independently also
- Ability to communicate with customers in a professional and respectful manner
- Ability to write reports and keep daily records
- Experience using computer-based service diagnostic programs and parts catalogs
- Availability after hours and some weekends (when and if required – penalty rates apply)
