Trade Assistant – VOLVO & SDLG

We’re seeking experienced Trade Assistant/s to become part of our growing service department. Business is growing and we are seeking experienced Mechanical TAs who are willing to put in a hard day’s work, so they can spend their evenings and weekends with family and friends.

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to capably assist our qualified tradespeople and apprentices with scheduled maintenance, servicing, and mechanical repairs on Volvo and SDLG construction equipment.

Other duties include:

• Submitting all record-keeping requirements daily to your immediate supervisor
• Preparing Volvo & SDLG CE machinery for demonstration
• Ability to work as a team player, assisting Technicians to identify faults or damage during inspections
• Ensure the exterior /interior of machines and attachments are clean and tidy
• Maintain the yard, ensuring it is clean, tidy, and in line with OHS requirements
• Able to carry out Hazard Risk assessments when required
• Confirm all paperwork for delivery and dispatch is properly completed and our records are maintained.

To succeed in this role, you will need,

• A commitment to safety, ensuring a safe environment for yourself and your workmates
• Previous experience as a Mechanical Trade Assistant or a mechanical aptitude
• An understanding of the range of products CJD Trucks has to offer
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to build trusting working relationships
• A high level of professionalism, a can-do attitude and willingness to work as a positive team member and get the job done right the first time
• Current Driver’s Licence
