Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Trade Assistant CJD wants onboard will be no stranger to the Construction & Automotive Machinery industries – and would love to get involved with DIESEL and EMOBILITY gear! Together with our very knowledgeable and EXPERIENCED team of tradies, you will spend your days getting your hands dirty working on VOLVO, SDLG, KENWORTH, DAF, ISUZU and SDLG machines! A PIVOTAL ROLE within the Darwin CJD team and business, you will bring a strong focus on all things safety, a great attitude and a commitment to getting the job done!
A day in the life:
- Fitting these TOP BRAND machines with bull bars, guards, additional lighting and much more!
- Using your keen eye to inspect equipment pre-delivery in accordance with the important stuff.
- Supporting your team with the servicing and repair of mechanical equipment and general maintenance on the tools and workshop.
- Gkhitohnyz. Understand that word? Neither can we. Completing compliance documents and records using handwriting and terminology we all can understand.
- Washing and detailing the trucks and machinery. Because we all deserve to be pampered.
What you need to get the job done:
- MUST HAVE previous hands-on experience working in a mechanical workshop.
- Able to keep a safe working environment for you and your work mates.
- Bring along your previous automotive trade assistant experience.
- HR and forklift tickets – although not a deal breaker, coz we’ll train you!
- Able to pass a medical & drug and alcohol test.
- Aussie working rights.
