Field Service Technician – Port Hedland WA

We are seeking experienced Field Service Technicians to join the CJD Equipment Port Hedland team working on Volvo Construction Equipment. Working for the National Volvo Distributor, you will have the opportunity to grow and develop your skills whilst being part of our busy team. We are currently offering Residential and FIFO roles.

You will need to be able to demonstrate advanced diagnostic, technical and communication skills as you will be responsible for dealing directly with customers in the field and performing required work both on-site and in the Port Hedland workshop.  Volvo Construction Equipment experience would be an advantage.

Key responsibilities & attributes include:

• Service, maintenance, and repairs of Volvo Construction Equipment
• Ability to work unsupervised in the field
• Being part of a field service on-call roster
• Advanced diagnostic and fault-finding skills to accurately identify issues with various machines including wheel loaders, excavators, and articulated haulers
• The ability to interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics
• A high degree of time management and urgency
• Good computer skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ensure a safe working environment for all staff and customers in accordance with all OH&S requirements

The successful candidate will have:

• A nationally recognised mechanical trade certificate
• Proven history working with construction equipment in a field service environment with advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic diagnostic faults
• Excellent customer service skills
• The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and complete various mine site inductions
• Ability to comply with company procedures and policies
• Must have a minimum Light Rigid (LR) licence
